Two types of CD mechanisms exist, and the respective front P.W.B boards have a
different COM.µ−
The COM on the boards are not compatible with each other.µ−
Be sure to confirm the type of CD mechanism mounted, and replace the COM accordingµ−
to the table below:
CD mechanism
1. 4ZG 1S3 / S4 (IC, CXA1992 / CXD2589 mounted)−
2. 4ZG 1Z3 / Z4 (IC, LA9241 / LC78622 mounted)−
A service manual concerning this matter will be issued in September.∗

Refer to G 99 023 if the code of a COM ends with characters/numbers different−− µ−
from those of the codes in the table below.
