RHONDA LOU, ORDER, 115 Maple, stated that she f

Restaurant looated on the Dallas-Fort Worth Turnpike. Mhi
in the Howard Johnson Restaurant about five months ago, RUBY
introduced himself to PONDER and during resulting conversation
offered PONDER a•job-as a waitress at the Vegas Club in Dallas,
indicating to her he was in need of some "new faces". The
initial meeting of RUBY and PONDER terminated with RUBY'.
invitation.to PONDER to visit the Vegas Club.and "look the
situation.over"•

PONDER stated she. traveled to Dallas about two wieks
later and went to the Vegas Club to see RUBY and discuss further
. details about employment. During this discussion with RUBY, she
learned. RUBY was interested in employing her as a stripper and
not as a waitress, all contingent on her going on a diet. RUBY
Alid.not.offer her a specific salary but -advised her his girls .
did real wall, PONDER stated she refused the offer of employment
as a stripper, advising RUBY she was under the impression he
wanted her as a waitress. PONDER stated she saw RUBY on the
third and-final time when he stopped in the Howard Johnson

Restaurant sometime during October 1963. She stated RUBY did
not speak to her on this occasion and RUBY acted as though he
did not recognize her.
PONDER further advised she never heard RUBY discuss
his political beliefs and was not aware of any association
between RUBY and LEE HARVEY OSWALD.
