The power does not turn on. The AC cord is not connected properly. Correct the connection.
The batteries are not inserted.

• Set the FUNCTION switch to select the correct input.

There is constant, wave-like static. • The radio station is not correctly tuned. • Correct the tuning.
There is noise. • The unit is picking up outside noise. Change the location or direction of the antenna.
Turn the unit to a different orientation.
Move the unit away from other electrical appliances,
like a TV or fluorescent lights, or move the appli
ances.

Tape does not run.
The II PAUSE button was pressed. Press the II PAUSE button again.
Recording is impossible.
The erasure prevention tab of the cassette
has been broken off.
Cover the tab opening with cellophane tape.
The recording head is dirty. Clean the head.

The disc is incorrectly placed. Place the disc with the label facing up.
The disc is dirty. Clean the disc.
There is condensation on the lens. Wait one or two hours and try again.
The player is on pause.
Press the II PLAY/PAUSE button to release pause.
To reset
If an erroneous display or malfunction occurs, disconnect the AC cord
and remove all the batteries to turn off the display. And turn the power
back on.
